Mostaganem to host Sufi art forum

Mostaganem, Algeria, will host the first international forum on spiritual samaâ art and Sufism starting Tuesday (October 10th). According to organisers, the forum aims at discovering Sufi traditions and their specificities in Algeria, as well as safeguarding national heritage. Artists and researchers from Syria, Egypt, Iraq, and Morocco will take part. Participants include the dancing dervishes of Damascus and Iraqi Maqam singer Farida Mohamed Ali. (APS)
