"Star Academy Maghreb" not to be derailed by Algerian authorities

2006-09-20

[File] "Star Academy Maghreb"

A 6 September article by Algerian newspaper Al-Osboa noted a disagreement between Algerian authorities and the Karoui & Karoui Group due to "financial and organisational differences over investments the Tunisian company makes in Algeria".

The newspaper noted authorities may stop dealings with Karoui & Karoui, which could jeopardise the first "Star Academy Maghreb". Authorities also said they fear the show will offend Algerian customs.

Nabil Karoui and his lawyer went to Algeria at the end of last week to settle matters with Al-Osboa and Algerian authorities. Karoui & Karoui media official Miriam Al-Bazazi said the newspaper has retracted what it said and tacitly apologised for leaking information about the possibility of "Star Academy Maghreb" being cancelled. She added the only change to the show is that it will not broadcast until after Ramadan.

"Karoui assured Algerian authorities 'Star Academy Maghreb' will respect the customs and traditions of the region, segregate male and female participants, not film in bedrooms or bathrooms, and that the contest will not be broadcast live," Al-Bazazi said.(Magharebia).

sabah Posted 2006-10-05

I'd like to thank the program staff of Star Academy. It is a successful show and worthy of the viewers. I whish I can be a star in its 5 season. If you can help please contact me via email. Thanks

محمد حديفي Posted 2006-10-06

Star Academy is a purely entertaining show. I do not think it is violating the morals. That is simply an opinion perhaps because I do not aspire to be a star in one of those days. why not? if you would like comment on my view, write:

الشلفية Posted 2006-10-26

Thank God there are countries that are countries that are conservative like the Arab Maghreb.

لوبنى Posted 2006-10-28

I am very happy with the Maghreb Star Avademy. It seems to be 100 per cent ignored!

Dinos Posted 2006-12-25

Star Academy maghreb will give a fair chance to all Maghrebians to be stars and launch their careers and passions in the art. Art has always been part of our culture and now our people can perform and compete under Maghrebian rules, judges and songs....a good step forward in my opinion.

ناريمان Posted 2007-01-25

how many applications are there of those who will participate?

بنت الخليج العربي Posted 2007-02-22

Is there a 24/24 direct channel on Arab Sat or Nile Sat, and if so, what's its frequency. I'll try to understand the Maghreb dialect, if only they talk more slowly, I wish they don't speak in French, thanks...

lakder39 Posted 2007-02-27

Long live Algerian participants!

ليبي حر Posted 2007-03-02

Is it broadcast live or not? How many participant from every country?

tina Posted 2007-03-27

Really Maghreb star academy is very nice, I highly encourage Hajar, I promise you that Egypt is with you Hajar.

safae Posted 2007-04-03

I'm one of the fans of star academy and hope it'll be respectful not like Lebanon star academy, I ask God this Maghreb Star Academy will succeed inchallah thanx.

asma Posted 2007-04-04

Thank you for this great initiative. I hope that this program will be fair and impartial in voting, not like Star Lebanon that discards our artists like Bahaa, Chayema and Marewa. Also in the final of this star, good luck to everyone.

نوره:الجزائر Posted 2007-04-04

O Lord, guide the youth of Muslims to the right path and prevent them from deviation and obscenity. Even if the program is respectful, this doesn't Change that it isn't found on a sane basis and has nothing to do with Islam, May God guide us.

صفاء Posted 2007-04-05

I'm Safaa from Morocco, I vote for Badrou because he's very respectful and please vote for him because he deserves your votes because he's among the last five and doesn't deserve to be dropped out. Star Academy program is very nice Hajar a star

نورهان Posted 2007-04-09

I wonder why there are no numbers to vote from Algeria other than Nejma, and voting from it is very expensive whereas other countries have several numbers for voting at very cheap prices.

ashrf Posted 2007-04-10

Good evening all Maghreb people from Tobruk to Sfax, from Casablanca to Algiers. Really we need so badly this kind of program presenting the Great Arab Maghreb heritage, thanks, thanks, thanks to the great Nesma channel. I wish good luck to Ahmed, Khairi and all participants.

فرح ليبيا Posted 2007-04-13

I ask the respectable teachers to speak Arabic more than French

يزيد تبسة الجزائر Posted 2007-04-18

I'm 100% with star academy and those who don't like it might just look for what they like and everyone takes care of himslef you've destroyed us with this policy of jealousy those who want to speak in French let them speak and those who want to speak in Arabic let them speak and even in Hindi, and those who don't understand, they should go and learn, I love Hajar to death, she drove me mad with her beauty and if star academy stops I'll commit suicide I'll commit suicide, I love you Hajar, God is the most powerful, God loves beauty, and how about the creature won't they love...Salam

اسامة Posted 2007-04-22

Farah, I love you so much! I'm crazy about you. Osama from Algeria.

Many thanks to Director Khadiga, and congratulations for the return of Yousri.

امل Posted 2007-04-23

عاشقة نفسها Posted 2007-04-24

Oh God how brilliant! I'm from Saudi Arabia and watch Star Academy Maghreb quite often I like the style of Farah and Badrou, the personality of Abdelhamid and I'm quite astonished that other Arab countries aren't allowed to vote as if we weren't one Arab nation?

ايمان Posted 2007-04-25

Hi, how's it going? This site rocks! It's a great website for Star Academy.

نبيلة كلاش Posted 2007-05-05

A very nice program especially the students I vote strongly for Firas and namely Ahmed, Farid, Badrou and Jamal from Algeria because they're reaaly great but for the girls I don't like any of them because they're not stars I love you Farid so much, Nabila from Algeria

مديحة Posted 2007-05-05

Maghreb star academy was great when Kawtar was there, I see her exit as a conspiracy. Thank you.

nirmina966 Posted 2007-05-05

I love you, Hajar. You can tell by the vote that you are trully a Moroccan.

madiha nirmina 966 Posted 2007-05-05

I love you, Hajar. You are the moon of Star Academy.

chahinaz Posted 2007-05-06

Hi, this Maghreb star academy is bad because there's no public on Friday and the girls are boastful as far as I'm concerned I don't like this program and Lebanon star academy is beyond your reach it has many surprises and the girls are nice and respectful you want to do like Lebanon star academy but you don't know how. Chahinaz from Morocco

chahinaz Posted 2007-05-06

Why haven't you published my comment or are you afraid if you have some courage or having a complex from yourselves just publish it, hhhhhhhhh

نجاة Posted 2007-05-07

This program is fine with the true meaning of the word, its aim is to entertain with the simplest means, the best ideas and the finest words, managed by high calibre students and with highly qualified personalities without boasting, also managed by valuable teachers and of course the great and modest young director. I wish success for all and God with you our great Maghreb.

مريومة من تونس Posted 2007-05-07

I wish success to this very very very nice and modest channel with its high values Hajoura may God protect her really deserves to be Moroccan 100%. May God grant her success.

نجاة من تونس Posted 2007-05-10

Maghreb star academy is good with the people who are present in it, but sometimes I feel that someone is treated unjustly. For example Fatin, it seems to me that some teachers don’t like her and don’t even want her to stay in the Dar, namely Abdelhamid Kayas who seems from his looks and comments that he despises Fatin, also Ilham, the way she hates Fatin even if she tries most of the time to hide it. As I like the people in the Dar and I like star academy I’m saddened that someone is treated in this way whether he’s from Libya, Algeria, Tunisia or Morocco. I ask the teachers kindly not to show their partiality to one person without the others because we love them all. Finally I have a call with all love to the sons of Morocco not to stop voting for Hamid and Farah, Hamid deserves with all merit to be the star with all the meaning of the word, we don’t blame a person for his personal deeds, Hamid for example isn’t someone who ignores his fellow citizens, and we can’t say that he’s a traitor, we don’t know why he has voted in that way and I personally respect his opinion. He is an artist, very polite, and in fact he honors Morocco. I hope that you don’t boycott him, I’m Tunisian and I love the sons of Morocco namely Hamid and Hajar.

SANAE Posted 2007-05-16

The best thing and the best program which made of countries cities thanks, go ahead, we've seen decency and a bunch of Arabic flowers, we're all one family we've only Nessma alone, and you've turned countries into cities surrounded by walls instead of being separated by borders, with success

HKAHINA Posted 2007-05-16

I would rather you say the Great Maghreb instead of the Arab Maghreb because 60% of the Maghreb people are Amazigh

I liked Arab Maghreb Star Academy and I was much impressed by its objective to gather all Maghreb people. I love Hajar so much and I tell her you deserve the title.

يوسف Posted 2007-07-09

I don't think that Maghreb star Academy is indecent, but there are some excesses from some students as to the clothes, secondly, the program isn't Arab, it's almost French, given the culture of the Maghreb young people as they believe that French is the language of civilisation disregarding their origins, thank you for the programme.
