US allocates $2.25m for poverty mitigation programmes in Mauritania

The United States donated $2.25m for Mauritanian poverty mitigation programmes. The contract was signed by Mauritanian Commissioner for Food Security Abdallah Ould Ahmed Damou and US embassy official Steven Koutsis in Nouakchott earlier this week. The "Food for Progress" initiative will be carried out by the Union of International NGOs operating in Mauritania. (Angola Press)
