Morocco launches expansion of Tangier Free Economic Zone

Morocco's King Mohammed VI launched construction of the second section of the Tangier Free Economic Zone on Tuesday (18 July). The approximately $12m project will create 16,000 new jobs in a specialised industrial park, particularly in the fields of new technologies, car industry, aeronautics and metallurgy. The king also inaugurated the construction of a $477m urban compound to house 90,000 people. (MAP)
