Maghreb journalists participate in international seminar in Brussels

2006-05-30

Journalists from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia are taking part in an international seminar for Mediterranean journalists organised from 29-31 May in Brussels. The three-day event is expected to see the participation of representatives of around 60 Mediterranean media institutions. Attendees will discuss the role of the media in Europe -- as well as the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions -- and will meet with officials of the European Commission, senior leaders in charge of EU-MENA co-operation. The seminar is part of "Europe for Mediterranean Journalists" programme aimed at raising awareness of EU activities in the Mediterranean by providing journalists with more information about Euromed partnership-related issues.
