Moroccan Interior Minister Chakib Benmoussa, who was on official visit at the end of last week in France, said both countries agreed to reinforce co-operation in security and in fighting organised crime, terrorism, drug trafficking and illegal migration. He met his French counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy, French deputies and senators. Discussions also covered co-operation in economic and social developments. Benmoussa informed French officials on the reforms undertaken in Morocco and on large projects such as the Tangier-Med project, which is expected to attract foreign investors and make the area a logistic platform for international and European markets. Morocco and France are two countries with the stable and most historic of relations. It is this, which, in all aspects, has led us to great co-operation, a co-operation which should be reinforced in each economic sector, not forgetting about our relations with our largest friends: America, Africa and the Maghreb. Morocco is a tree on a cliff based in Africa, but its branches extend throughout the world.
