Sonatrach's STH unit will manage the Algeriàs oil terminals at Bejaia, Skikda and Arzew under an agreement signed with the three ports' authorities. The signing ceremony was attended by Energy and Mines Minister Chakib Khelil and Transport Minister Mohamed Maghlaoui.

STH was set up 25 July under an agreement protocol between Sonatrach and the three ports. Under the agreement, STH will be responsible for managing, maintaining, monitoring, and upgrading the ports' infrastructure, shipping and receipt of oil products. The concessions will help Sonatrach boost its exports and diminish financial losses resulting from delays in port operations, which are estimated at around $70m a year. (El Moudjahid)
