With the support of the Rabat-based Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), the first edition of the Arabic-Tajiki Dictionary was recently released in Tajikistan. The new publication is part of efforts exerted by the ISESCO to support projects in the field of Arabic and other languages used by Muslims.
Arabic vocabulary makes up more than 30 per cent of the modern Tajiki language. The new dictionary contains over 70,000 alphabetically-ordered entries. (albawaba.com)
