Moroccan Parliament Discusses Berber Language Legislation

A group in Morocco's second chamber of parliament recently presented an updated finance law to create a fund for audio-visual aids in the Berber language Amazighe. However, according to Aujourd'hui Le Maroc, the proposed law met with government opposition and was rejected.

The parliamentary group is committed to changing the finance law, especially considering the momentum built up for improving the Moroccan government's commitment to Berber language and culture.
