Regional Session of Children's Parliament Held in Marrakech

Princess Lalla Meryem, chairwoman of the National Observatory for Children's Rights and daughter of the late King Hassan II, recently presided over the opening of the regional session of the Children's Parliament in Marrakech. Three years ago, Princess Meryem joined the list of UNESCO Goodwill Ambassadors and is a strong proponent for ratifying the International Convention for the Rights of the Child.
Previous Children's Parliament sessions discussed school charters and expanding the parliament's ability to intervene on issues pertaining to the health and education of children. (albawaba.com)
