2004-10-27
The Algerian Council of Ministers examined and approved a draft executive decree Tuesday (26 October) for the creation of a Bachelor's degree programme that will take three years to complete. The reform, known as the "LMD" (Bachelor's degree, Master's degree and PhD) system, aims to harmonise the Algerian university system with international standards. Rachid Harraoubia, minister of higher education and scientific research, submitted the draft. (El Watan, APS)
