Algerian Energy and Mines Minister Chakib Khelil said Sunday (28 November) crude oil prices are currently at a normal level, but that prices will stay at around at least $30 per barrel in 2005 due to strong global demand. Algeria is among the smaller members of OPEC but is producing around double its formal OPEC quota of 750,000 barrels per day. "OPEC cannot do more than it is doing today, given that it's producing at full capacity," Khelil said. (CNN)
