Siemens Expanding Mobile Phone Service in Algeria

Siemens Mobile Algeria hopes to triple the number of its facilities and triple the number of its subscribers. Director General of Siemens Algeria, Peter Donnerbaeur, told the Algerian press that the number of subscribers is expected to reach 10 million, a 30 per cent share of the market as opposed to Siemens' current 10 per cent share of the market. Donnerbaeur said the rapid market growth is linked to the reduction of chip and component prices along with more attractive deals. (menareport.com)
