Dekhil said Tunisair's performance hit unprecedented levels

Tunisair official Rafea Dekhil announced that the airline is capable of balancing operating revenues and expenditures by the end of 2004, despite the sharp increase in oil prices. According to Al-Horria newspaper, Dekhil said Tunisair's performance hit unprecedented levels when it carried 2.9 million passengers in the first nine months of the year. This is a growth rate of 24.6 per cent compared with the same period last year.

Tunisair's market share increased from 40.1 per cent to 41.5 per cent and the occupancy ratio increased from 68.8 per cent to 71.8 per cent. Dekhil estimates Tunisair will transport 3.6 million passengers by year's end. (menareport.com)
