The number of tourists visiting Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt during the first eight months of 2004 showed tremendous growth compared to the same period last year, according to figures published by the World Tourism Organisation. The group said the surge in tourism is in large part due to the euro's high value. Moroccan tourist arrivals grew 17 per cent, Tunisian arrivals rose 19 per cent, while Egypt's skyrocketed by 49 per cent. (La Vie Economique)
