Algerian Food Imports up

According to Al-Khabar newspaper, the Algerian National Statistics Centre reported that food product imports rose to $2.68 billion in the first nine months of 2004, up from $1.88 billion for the same period in 2003. In addition, Algerian wheat imports increased to $1.048 billion for the same period. That is a 39 per cent increase compared to the corresponding period in 2003. (albawaba)
