Algeria Establishes Group for Improved Fuel Distribution
2004-10-28
The Algerian Ministry of Energy and Mines recently announced that Energy Minister Chakib Khelil agreed to establish a joint working group with gasoline distributors and service station promoters. The group will oversee the development of proposals to improve oil and gasoline distribution. Currently under discussion are inferior distribution schedules in place since 1997. The distribution schedules have cut revenues to service stations and caused a decline in quality. (APS)
