More and more French tourists are visiting Tunisia. According to Akhbar Tunisia newspaper, 850,000 tourists from France visited Tunisia in the first nine months of the year, up 24 per cent compared to the same period last year. To attract even more visitors, a huge Tunisian tourism promotion campaign was launched recently and will run until the end of October. An estimated 1,500 tourism stewards have fanned out along the major streets and transport stations in Paris and 11 other major French cities, promoting Tunisia’s tourism destinations and products.
