A total of 29 Tunisian agricultural and food companies attended Europe’s largest food fair, SIAL International Food Exhibition, in Paris. The four-day event ended on Wednesday (21 October). The exhibition, held biannually since 1964 in Paris, is one of the two major food fairs in Europe focusing on the food and beverage sectors. According to a Tunisian paper, it offers exhibitors an opportunity to meet buyers from different parts of the world and acts as a major marketplace for catering, as a source for food ingredients and as a platform for new product launches. Participating Tunisian companies displayed seafood products, dates, olive oil, beverages, sweets, vegetables and wines. (menareport.com)
