Novell and Net-Skills Sign Contract
2004-10-22
The large international technology company Novell and the Algerian company Net-Skills signed a partnership contract earlier this week that Net-Skills manager Nassim Kerdjoudj says can make Algeria the region's springboard for Linux software. Analysts hope the deal will also combat piracy in North Africa, spurring governments to boost efforts to attract more players to the region and to reduce the costs of computer equipment. According to Jean-Luc Fort of Novell France, the company aims to cover 30 per cent of the world software and exploitation systems market by 2007. (menareport.com)
