Moroccan Government Adopts Draft Budget for 2005

The Moroccan Council of Ministers adopted on Wednesday (20 October) the draft budget for the year 2005, with Prime Minister Driss Jettou serving as chairman of the session. Government spokesman Nabil Benabdellah issued a statement describing the budget as the first step towards implementing the High Royal directives for the next five years. According to the statement, goals include realisation of lasting development, promotion of public and private investments, intensification of foreign exchange, modernisation of infrastructure, promotion of structural and sectorial reforms, and acceleration of economic growth.
