Oh debi, I am happy for the Timitar Festival in Agadir, especially for the Amazigh songs and ones by the group IZenZaren.

Title: Timitar Festival with a new flavour. Timitar Festival was wrapped up in the Province of Souss Massa Draa Sunday, July 6, 2008. This year’s festival was the fifth edition. This confirms that this is a fixed and regular meeting distinguishing the city of renaissance. However, the last edition has expressly shown that there are still some aspects of shortage and flaws. We will mention some of these. After the elapse of five years, the festival has some positive and negative aspects, analyse and debate. In the relationship with this staff, we have recorded that the edition of this year shows a real flaw and even a tension in the relationship with the regional, local and national press. They have reflected many aspects of selectiveness and moodiness. Many colleagues were therefore hindered from doing their job and professional duty in covering the festival events. On the other hand the lady who was responsible for relations with international press was very active in meeting the simplest requests of the representatives of this press and which drove to a new way the event adopted by the region of Souss Massa Draa and organized by Agadir. All the members of the civil society have contributed to this event. We don’t want this event to turn into an occasion of violation by perverts in the space of the festival in the city to commit many violations. This fact imposes on the organizers of the festival in coming editions to think of spreading out the performance platforms to nearby cities in all parts of the region to avoid such examples. This could be extended to Inezgane, Ait Melloul, Dcheira, Anza, Tikiouine, Tiznit, Taroudant, Houara, Chtouka, Ait Baha, OUarzazate, Taghazoute, Aitamer, Lakliaa and Biougra. Since it is the council of the region which organizes this event, participation in Timitar festival has become like a dream for famous musicians in the world.
