Portuguese Honour Moroccan Historian

The ambassador of Portugal to Rabat, Jose Lameiras, honoured Moroccan historian Ahmed Boucharb with the badge of Officer of the Dom Henrique Order. The recipient was honoured for his work in researching Moroccan-Portuguese relations. Boucharb said his works allowed him to discover another culture and contribute to dialogue between the two countries. At the ceremony, Lameiras said relations between Morocco and Portugal are excellent since a peace treaty was signed 230 years ago. (Le Matin, albawaba.com)
