Moroccan fashion show Caftan 2005 ended on Saturday (30 April) in Marrakech with a display of the recent creations of eight experienced designers, as well as a presentation of the five prize winners of the new talent contest. Launched in 2002 by Moroccan monthly Femmes du Maroc, the show is an international event broadcast by both Moroccan television and Arabic-language channel ART. Proceeds from the event are earmarked for a girls' scholarship programme in Morocco. (El Watan, Morocco Times)
