The French Institute of Co-Operation in Tunis is presenting a cultural programme in February to mark the 15th anniversary of the death of Algerian expressionist writer Kateb Yacine (1929-1989). The Algerian writer was also a man of theatre, eminent journalist and symbol of the revolt against all forms of injustice and alienation. The programme will include lecturers, journalists, writers, and actors from Tunisia, Algeria and France. Algerian actor Sid Ahmed Agoumi and Algerian poet, novelist and playwright Mohamed Kacimi will be among the attendees. (La Presse)

Thank you for this initiative and interest in Katib Yassin. Greeting! we are from AL AMAL cultural association in Ouran, Algeria, the technological theatre group of this playwright. We played "The essence of being smart" across the country. We are among the groups who adapted the play. It would be an honor to have business with you for the arts and drama and freedom of expression. Thank you

It is an honor and pride for the Grand Maghreb youth to communicate in order to solve their art and intellectual problems. I suggest the creation of drama magazine specifically for the Maghreb. Through it we may be able to develop the participating opinions about issues of Art in our great Maghreb!

It is said that the writings of the late scholar Kateb Yacine are ambiguous, what is the cause of this?
