Islamic Conference of Culture Ministers to be Held in Algeria

The fourth Islamic Conference of Culture Ministers will be held in the Algerian capital of Algiers from 15 to 17 December. The conference, convened by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), comprises the Ministers of Culture in the Member States of the Organization of the Islamic Conference.

According to press reports, the theme of the conference is "Cultural Diversity Between Globalization and the Preservation of People's Identities and Heritages." It will discuss several reports about ISESCO's attempts to implement the "Cultural Strategy for the Islamic World," follow up on the implementation of the "Program of Islamic Culture Capitals," and talk about the project to establish an Islamic satellite channel.
