Tunisian Poet Abou El Kacem Chebbi Commemorated

Tunisia commemorated the 70th anniversary of the death of its laureate poet Abou El Kacem Chebbi on 3-5 December at the Chebbi House of Culture in Tozeur. More than 100 poets and speakers took part in the event. Situated in the middle of an oasis, the Chebbi House of Culture is the poet's birthplace. During the two-day-long event, Chebbi's manuscripts were displayed as well as several drawings by various artists who were inspired by his works. (Le Temps)
