British director Sir Alan Parker said in an interview to the Moroccan press on Monday (6 December) that he was "still impressed" by the creative process involved in making films and how it makes cinema enjoyable for all cultures. The director, jury president for this year’s Marrakech International Film Festival, said cinema is a wonderful means of rapprochement between people, no matter how different their cultures.
Looking back on his career in Hollywood, Parker said the American cinema industry allowed him to make the kind of films he was craving, ascribing the success of American films to their ability to connect with the audience. (MAP)
