English-language TV Channel for Muslims in America Goes on the air

Bridges TV, the first English-language television channel for Muslims in the United States and Canada began broadcasts on Tuesday (1 December), from Buffalo, New York state. Bridges TV is subscriber and advertiser supported and primarily targets the some eight million Muslims of North America.
The channel features English language programmes focusing on American Muslim lifestyle and culture. Founder and CEO, Muzzammil Hassan, said the launch of Bridges TV comes at a time when the Muslim community around the world is in the spotlight. (MAP)
