Moroccan daily Le Matin reported a new grassroots initiative by a teacher to display the history of Moroccan musical instruments. After presenting a complete series of traditional Moroccan musical instruments at her secondary school, Amina El Khadiri invited teachers from other districts to see the exhibit. Impressed by the project, the teachers asked to display the instruments in their schools and now the exhibition is traveling the country.
El Khadiri said the project inspires a lot of interest because it strengthens Moroccan cultural identity and allows teenagers to learn about their country's rich cultural tradition. (albawaba.com)
