Spanish Film Festival Opens at Cervantes Institute, Algiers
2004-11-24
The first session of a Spanish film festival opened Monday (22 November) at the Cervantes Institute, a Spanish cultural centre in Algiers, with a screening of "Goya en Burdeos" by Spanish film director Carles Saura. The 1999 film portrays the final years of Spanish artist Francisco De Goya. Organisers say it offered the Algerian public a good example of contemporary Spanish cinema. (APS)
