Coalition for Culture and Arts Created in Morocco

According to Menara, the newly created Moroccan Coalition for Culture and Arts aims to preserve Morocco's cultural heritage. Meeting for the first time last week, coalition members represent Moroccan theatre, music, sculpture, and cinema.
Presided over by Hassan Neffali of the National Union of Theatre Professionals, the executive committee also includes adjunct presidents Ahmed Alaoui of the Music Union, art distributor Mohamed Loma, and Mohamed Souf of the Writer's Guild. Minister of Culture Mohamed Achaari praised the new venture and said he is looking forward to a blossoming of Moroccan culture. (albawaba.com)
