Algerian poet Djamel Amrani and Leila Boutaleb, a senior Algerian radio producer, took part in the Montreal Arab World Festival currently under way. Amrani, through a selection of texts, recounted the Algerian people's efforts to build their country. The festival opened on 29 October and will close on Sunday (14 November). The annual event grows in size every year, attracting more artists and intellectuals from the Arab world. (www.festivalarabe.com, APS)
