Tunisian President Honours Latifa

Tunisian singer Latifa received a statement of congratulations from President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali for winning the World Music Award in the World's Best Selling African Artist category. The president expressed gratitude for Latifa's patriotism and said her award is a triumph. According to the London based Elaph, Tunisia's ambassador in Egypt held a celebration for Latifa in Cairo. Ben Ali's message was read at the event and Latifah was honoured with an award for her achievement. (albawaba.com)
