Marrakech Film Festival to Be Held Next Month

The Fourth Marrakech Film Festival (FIFM) will be held 16 December through 21 December. The festival features 14 movies from Europe, North and South America, the Maghreb, Africa, Asia, and the Arab world. Presiding over the festival jury will be director Sir Alan Parker. The FIFM has nominated film industry giants Claudia Cardinale of Italy, Sean Connery of Scotland and Youssef Chahine of Egypt for honours. The festival will also introduce several recently produced Moroccan movies. About 10 films from India will be screened and Indian cinema will be honoured. (albawaba.com)
