Raja Casablanca were officially crowned Moroccan Premier League champions after defeating Hassania Agadir 2-1 at home on Day 30 of the title race. It was only a formality: Raja had already wrapped up the title when they defeated Chabab Mohammedia 1-0 on May 30th.
RCA did not waste time. They showed strength from the first minute of the game. Mouhcen Metoualli opened scoring with the fastest goal this season.
HUSA tried hard to equalise. Hafid Ouzid finally did it in the 49th minute.
Twenty minutes later, Djim Ngom tapped in RCA's winner. The goal cheered up the large number of fans who turned out to celebrate their team's official win. The stadium was filled with the green colour and fans were singing the team's official songs.
Also Sunday, Kawkab Marrakech defeated hosts Ittihad Khemisset 2-0.
MC Oujda and Olympique Khouribga drew 1-1 in a weak game. The draw brought OCK to fifth place.
The result is worse for MCO, who stood all the way back in 15th place. They will be relegated to the second division.
On Saturday, AS Salé defeated their guests OC Safi 1-0.
The teams performed equally, at least during the first half, with several attempts to score. Abdessamad Sefraoui scored the only goal of the match in the 82nd minute from a shot more than 30 meters away.
KAC Kénitra were defeated 1-2 on their own field by Moghreb Fès.
KAC's Abdelkrim ben Hnia scored the first goal in the 2nd minute following a strong shot from inside the box, while Bilal Byat scored the equaliser from a header in the 48th minute.
The domination of MAS continued through the second half, though they lost several opportunities to score, until Ben Hnia tapped the second goal in the 67th minute.
With this win, MAS ended the season in the 7th place, while KAC ended the season in the 14th place.
Also Saturday, JSM Laayoune defeated guests Chabab Mohammedia 2-0. Both goals were scored by Hamza Bourezzouk.
Meanwhile, the two matches between Difaa El Jadida and Wydad Casablanca, Moghreb Tétouan and FAR Rabat were postponed to a later date.
