Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o has been named as Africa’s 2004 Footballer of the Year for the second time in his career. He could not attend the awards ceremony in Durban, South Africa, because he opted to play in a charity match at Barcelona's Nou Camp stadium. The match collected funds for the victims of the Asian tsunami disaster.
