Hassan Kachloul Fails in Reading Trials

Moroccan football player Hassan Kachloul will not be offered a contract by British club Reading Royals. The 32-year-old former Southampton and Aston Villa star trained with the team for two weeks, playing in a reserves match and even scoring a goal. Kachloul, who now lives in France, failed to impress Reading coach Steve Coppell.

Reading football director Nicky Hammond said, "Hassan was a really nice lad and he gave a couple of good performances for the reserves, but we didn't feel he was ready to challenge for a first-team place here. We wish him the best of luck finding a new club." (albawaba.com)
