The Royal Moroccan Football Association recently submitted a national football project proposal to Prime Minister Driss Jettou. The body wants the government to figure out how to finance infrastructure rebuilding, club restructuring and national squads training.

The Moroccan football governing body, which is planning to launch a professional league in 2006, said it requires a four-year government subsidy to guarantee financial autonomy for all national football clubs. The project also calls for the establishment of 16 football academies around the country, training programmes for coaches, administrative personnel, referees, and the creation of a state diploma for specialized sports trainers.
