Moroccan woman dies of swine flu in Spain

A Moroccan woman who died on Tuesday (June 30th), one day after giving birth at a Madrid hospital, is the first fatal case of H1N1 influenza in Spain, MAP reported. In Morocco, officials announced another case on Monday, bringing the number of reported H1N1 infections in the country to 17. The new patient is a 9-year old girl who arrived home from Canada.

Also Monday, the Algerian health ministry confirmed three new cases of H1N1 swine flu, El Watan reported. One patient, a 13-year-old child, arrived in Oran from France. The other two - a child and a young man - arrived from the US.
