In statement published on Tuesday (June 23rd), Reporters Without Borders (RSF) denounced the arrest of Mauritanian journalist Hannefi Ould Dehah. The editor of online newspaper Taqadoumy was arrested in connection with a libel complaint filed by presidential candidate and AJD-MR party chief Ibrahima Moctar Sarr over an article alleging that he used campaign money to buy a villa in a residential area of Nouakchott.
