02/12/2008

NATO foreign ministers will hold a special session with their counterparts from the seven Mediterranean Dialogue (MD) countries on Tuesday (December 2nd), international media reported. The discussions will be held within the NATO foreign ministers' annual meeting in Brussels. Tuesday's special session will be focused on evaluating the progress achieved within the framework of the NATO-MD partnership in security, defence and the fight against terrorism. Participants are also expected to develop a co-operation plan for 2009. The session is the third NATO meeting with foreign ministers from Mediterranean Dialogue countries Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia since 2004.
