Hundreds of thousands of young people seek employment each year in Algeria's security services, National security chief Colonel Ali Tounsi said Tuesday (November 11th) in Skikda, local press reported. Tounsi was in Skikda to meet with families of 8 police officers killed by terrorists on August 17th in Ain Kechra. El Khabar quoted him as saying terror attacks have encouraged young people to join the nation's police and security services in order to "protect their country". He reaffirmed Algeria's strong determination to eradicate terrorism, adding, "These terrorist groups have nothing to do with Islam."
