Tunisia, South Africa establish joint business council

30/05/2006

South Africa and Tunisia have established a joint business council as part of strengthening bilateral economic relations. The council will provide a regular forum for discussing and exploring business opportunities in trade, investment, transfer of technology, and services. The council will further encourage the business community to participate in exhibitions in both countries and also encourage small and medium enterprises to link up through one-to-one meetings. A memorandum of understanding was signed on Monday (29 May) in Tshwane, South Africa, by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of South Africa and the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Handcrafts of Tunisia.
