Algerian academic and journalist Mouna Hamitouche was recently elected a member of Islington Council, north of London. The 15-year British resident ran for the Labour Party. She is a business advisor of the British Algerian Connection, an association, which helps the Algerian community in Camden and other Arabic-speaking communities achieve their full potential by participating and contributing in all aspects of British life through adequate support, advice, training, and guidance.
