The Moroccan government has designed a special strategy for fighting the problem of street children, according to Secretary of State to the Minister of Social Development and Family Yasmina Baddou. She said the plan gives enormous importance to the population, as the category of Moroccan society is most vulnerable to various forms of deprivation, exploitation and delinquency.

The strategy is based on judicial, social and educational actions and will be implemented in partnership with all competent players in the sector. The aim is to reintegrate street children into families and society. Baddou said that a pilot project for creation of a mobile service for urgent social requirements would be launched in May 2006, which will provide primary requirements and first aid to people in difficult situations.
