Algerian-Russian anti-terrorist panel meets in Algiers

The Algerian-Russian bilateral co-operation group on the fight against terrorism and security questions met Wednesday (21 December) in Algiers. The meeting was chaired by Kamel Rezag Bara and Anatoly Satonof, advisers of the countries' presidents. The first meeting of the panel aimed at expressing common will to materialise "the new partnership with foundations and objectives having been defined by presidents Bouteflika and Putin", Bara stressed at the opening of the meeting. Algeria and Russia must "combine their efforts to fight this plague" of terrorism, he said. Safonof expressed his country's will to implement Algerian experience in the field. (APS, El Moudjahid)
