American Cinema Festival Features Algerian Film

US state of Wisconsin college students and their professors will have the opportunity to see the award-winning Algerian film "Daughter of Keltoum" and talk with its director Mehdi Charef and star Baya Bellal during the University of Wisconsin's 2005 World Cinema Day on 1 April.

According to Magdalena Hauner, associate dean of the College of Letters and Science at the university, international understanding is crucial in today's society and cinema is an important tool in bringing it about. (News@UW-Madison)
