"L'Esquive" by Tunisian Abdellatif Kechiche won best film at the 30th Cesar awards in Paris on Saturday (26 February). "Cousines," a work by Algerian Lyes Salem was awarded best short film. The 35-minute piece produced in 2003 tells the story of a young man settled in France for years, who returns to Algiers to spend the holidays. In 2001, Salem directed "Jean-Fares," his only previous film. (Liberte)
