Tunisia Pays Homage to Algerian Writer Kateb Yacine

The French Institute of Co-Operation in Tunis is presenting a cultural programme in February to mark the 15th anniversary of the death of Algerian expressionist writer Kateb Yacine (1929-1989). The Algerian writer was also a man of theatre, eminent journalist and symbol of the revolt against all forms of injustice and alienation. The programme will include lecturers, journalists, writers, and actors from Tunisia, Algeria and France. Algerian actor Sid Ahmed Agoumi and Algerian poet, novelist and playwright Mohamed Kacimi will be among the attendees. (La Presse)
